EZ Frame Background

For more than 100 years physicians have worked to develop safe, easy and effective ways to treat Charcot joint disease and other afflictions of the feet and ankles.

From the original unirail with Schanz pin systems, to circular frames with pins, to circular frames with skinny wires, doctors have labored with them all—often spending more time securing the device to the leg than they do on the primary procedure.

And in the end, none are a perfect fit.

Healthy bones are compromised. Complications arise. Infections set in. Proper tensioning is difficult to maintain. And patients are often terrified upon awakening to discover the alien contraption engulfing their leg.

But when the choice comes down to amputation or a painful, arduous, invasive procedure that just might preserve the limb, there really is no choice.

Until now.

After years in development, a group of dedicated physicians and other medical professionals developed the FDA-approved EZ Frame.

In doing so, they have answered the need for a simplified approach to limb salvage, trauma and foot reconstruction.
